Flat-Rate Service Call Fee

Our Service Call Fee includes technician’s travel time and fuel, diagnosis time, check parts availability & quote price. The Service Call Fee is considered as accepted and beholden at the moment a customer schedules the appointment. 

  • Basic Service Call Fee $99
  • Service Call Fee (Each Additional Appliance) $79

    A discounted service call fee will be charged for each additional unit at the same location.

  • Service Call Fee (Induction Stoves And Cooktops) $180

Flat-Rate Labor Fee

If you accept the estimation and decide to proceed, labor will be billed in addition to the Service Call fee. We provide parts cost upfront. Without authorization, we do not proceed with the repair.

  • Basic Labor Fee (Per Appliance) $59

    Basic service call fee will be charged for minor repairs.

Labor fee does not include the cost of labor for major jobs. Major jobs include but are not limited to: refrigerator compressors replacement; washing machine transmission, flange shaft tub spider assembly and bearings replacement; work on extremely old appliances with rusted or seized parts; work on stacked or built-in appliances, or appliances that are not accessible to the service technician. The technician will inform you of any applicable incremental fees.

What To Expect?

  • Appointments are 9am-5pm and in 4-hour time frames 9am – 1pm and 1pm – 5pm of which one should expect to be serviced. All appointments are set based on the earliest availability. Our technician will call you about 30 minutes prior to arrival. Our technicians carry the most common parts in their vehicle stock. We strive to complete repairs on the same day.
  • Our parts come from multiple manufacturers and suppliers. We only use brand new parts for repairs. Prior to proceeding with any repair, we will always quote the parts cost.
  • We will estimate the cost of your repair before proceeding, excluding the diagnostic fee. We do not charge extra for Saturday service calls.
  • We provide up to 1-year limited warranty for parts and 90-day warranty for labor.

  • Single Washer Or Dryer $120

    Basic installation of single washer or dryer. It is assumed that water valves, drain and electrical outlet are already in place. Parts and accessories needed to complete the job will be added to the bill.

  • Side-By-Side Washer And Dryer $220

    Our technician will unplug and remove your old appliances (if necessary) and will install your new washer and dryer. It is assumed that water valves, drain and electrical outlets are already in place. Parts and accessories needed to complete the job will be added to the bill.

  • Stacked Washer And Dryer $240

    Our technicians will take care of stacking your new washer and dryer duo, installing your pedestals, and connecting your appliances to electricity and water. It is assumed that water valves, drain and electrical outlets are already in place. Parts and accessories needed to complete the job will be added to the bill.

  • Dishwasher Installation (Except Panel Ready Dishwashers) $175

    Our technician will remove your old dishwasher if required and install your new one. The anti-tip mounting brackets will also be installed if they are included with the new dishwasher. It is assumed that water valves, drain and electrical outlets are already in place. Parts and accessories needed to complete the job will be added to the bill.

  • Panel Ready Dishwasher Installation $325

    Our technician will remove your old dishwasher if required and install your new one. The anti-tip mounting brackets will also be installed if they are included with the new dishwasher and panel. It is assumed that water valves, drain and electrical outlets are already in place. Parts and accessories needed to complete the job will be added to the bill.

  • Single Wall Oven (Electric) $150

    Our technician will install your new wall oven, including the accessories if sold as a set. Installation does not Include structural modifications and/or removal of cabinetry to accommodate your new wall oven, and modifications to your existing electrical configuration. Parts and accessories needed to complete the job will be added to the bill.

  • Double Wall Oven (Electric) $240

    2-person team will safely and efficiently install your double wall oven. Installation does not Include structural modifications and/or removal of cabinetry to accommodate your new wall oven, and modifications to your existing electrical configuration. Parts and accessories needed to complete the job will be added to the bill.

  • Over-The-Range Microwave $180

    This service is for customers who are replacing an existing over-the-range microwave in the same location, or getting a new one installed at a site that has already been fully fitted to accommodate an over-the-range microwave. Parts and accessories needed to complete the job will be added to the bill.

  • Full Size Refrigerator $130

    French Door, Top/Bottom Freezers, Side-by-Side, Freezerless Refrigerators. This service includes the installation of a new waterline and hooking up your new refrigerator. Parts and accessories needed to complete the job will be added to the bill.

  • Column Refrigerator & Freezer Set $310

    Unlike traditional refrigeration, the refrigerator column can be easily paired with any size freezer column. We can pair two together for a built-in side-by-side look. Parts and accessories needed to complete the job will be added to the bill.

The client portal provides our clients with a modern and professional experience, where they can: view, approve, sign, and pay estimates and invoices; view past and upcoming service appointments; view and update contact and payment details; book new services with your company.

Warranty for Parts and Labor

1. GENERAL CONCERNS

At the moment of service the customer is deemed to have acknowledged the warranty conditions.

The acceptance of service means the acceptance of warranty conditions as read and understood.

The 1-Year Warranty for Parts and 90-Day Warranty for Labor are applied from the date of service if the appliance was operated and maintained as per the manufacturer’s manual. VM SERVICE TECH will pay for parts replacement and labor to correct issues for parts or workmanship. Service must be provided by a VM SERVICE TECH designated technician only.

The bill with the service date and parts replaced is required to obtain service under this limited warranty.

The customer’s signature is required on the original invoice to validate the warranty.

No other proofs (payment confirmation, witnesses, pictures, etc) are considered as proofs for service under this limited warranty.

The parts replaced under warranty don’t carry an additional warranty. Once the initial warranty for the part replaced expires, all the consequent parts replaced have the same expiration date as the originally part replaced.

2. ITEMS EXCLUDED FROM WARRANTY

This limited warranty does not cover:

Replacement parts or repair labor if the appliance is not used normally by a single-family household use or when it is used in a manner not mentioned in the user manual. Consumable parts (air filters or water filters, light bulbs, etc) are excluded from coverage. No warranty on non-functional parts or cosmetic parts, such as but not limited to; trims, glass cooktops, knobs, windows, panels, tanks, racks, tubs, baskets, doors, door liners, shelves, structural parts or all parts that may be damaged by proven or not abnormal usage.

Commercial use (rental properties included) and all other uses: 90 days on parts and on associated labor (exclusions to be considered).

Service calls to correct the installation of your major appliance, to instruct you on how to use your appliance, to correct house wiring or plumbing or repair or to replace electric fuses from the house.

Service calls to replace water filters, air filters or bulbs. Consumable parts are excluded from warranty coverage.

Damage resulting from accident, alteration, abuse, misuse, flood, fire, acts of God, improper installation, an installation that does not comply with plumbing or electrical codes, or use of chemicals not approved by the manufacturer.

Cosmetic damage, including but not limited to dents, scratches, chips or other damage to the finish of your appliance. Manipulations and mechanical operations during service may be considered as 10% of wear and tear. Some cracks, dents, and scratches may not be avoided due to the age, corrosion or quality of material (plastic or metal). This is considered as acknowledged by the customer at the moment of service acceptance so not claimable.

Damage to parts replaced resulting from unauthorized modifications made to the appliance/installation.

3. PARTS NO LONGER AVAILABLE

VM SERVICE TECH’s obligation under this warranty expires in the event the part installed and under warranty is no longer available from the original manufacturer.

4. DISCLAIMER OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES

IMPLIED WARRANTIES ARE LIMITED TO MAXIMUM ONE YEAR OR THE SHORTEST PERIOD ALLOWED BY LAW.

LIMITATION OF REMEDIES; EXCLUSION OF ACCIDENTAL AND EXTENSIVE DAMAGES

YOUR ONE AND ONLY REMEDY UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY SHALL BE PRODUCT REPAIR AS PROVIDED HERE.

VM SERVICE TECH SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ACCIDENTAL AND EXTENSIVE DAMAGES. We assume no liability nor make any guarantee for any loss including food loss made by a failed part, torn, stained or burned clothes, broken furniture, moldings or flooring happening while servicing on or moving the appliance.

5. WARRANTY CANCELLATION

Warranty may be voided at the sole discretion of VM SERVICE TECH in the event that a balance due is open after 30 days, or if the customer’s payment is denied or returned by their bank. Automatic cancellation will occur if an account is sent to a Collection Agency.

Work performed by the customer on the appliance or by another service company whatsoever will lead to the cancellation of the warranty offered.

In the event of repairing a dryer, the technician will check that the ventilation system is adequate and he will inform you at the end of the work. If the dryer ventilation system becomes obstructed (blocked) during the warranty period, the warranty becomes void (as damage to the appliance is caused by external factors, not the replaced parts). The security parts do not carry any guarantee.

The client must have their ventilation system cleaned by an expert recognized in the field with an invoice proving the work. An invoice from the contractor who performed the cleaning will be required.

6. No warranty whatsoever will be offered on parts not provided or replaced by VM SERVICE TECH. 

7. No warranty on maintenance or cleaning work.

How It Works

Request your appliance repair using our Online Form. Once you request is submitted, we’ll be notified immediately!

Our Dispatch Staff will take care of your Phone Call or Online Request and contact you to confirm your booking, or for more information if needed.

Over the Scheduling and Dispatching software we submit your scheduled request to the assigned technician, who provides appliance repair service in your neighborhood.

The technician will contact you when he starts making his way to your place. Upon arrival, we always aim to complete repairs during our first visit.

After investigation the technician will perform a repair if no parts needed or he has that particular part in stock. Otherwise, you’ll be provided with the cost of required part. If you decide to proceed with a part replacement, the technician will get back to you once he gets a part from our Parts Supply department.

As a customer, you won’t be charged for every subsequent visit, no matter how long it takes to get the job done. Once the repair is completed, you will be prompted to pay the invoice for both service call and the part, if one was replaced. We accept all major Credit Cards, Debit or e-Transfer at your convenience. No Personal Bank Cheques accepted.

Please, don’t order any parts basing on you best guess as it can lead you to unnecessary expenses. Moreover, you won’t get a Warranty on parts. Call professional to investigate your appliance.

COVID-19 Policy

We follow the directives from the government and public health agencies to avoid the spread of COVID-19.

We are making sure on a daily basis that our technicians are feeling well and comply with safety regulations. Most of our customer service representatives are working from home until further notice in order to keep our community safe. 

We require our employees to wash their hands regularly with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds and also to acquire a habit of disinfection procedure with sanitizers as much as possible. VM Service Tech makes sure that each technician has a hand sanitizer, mask, gloves and keep 6 feet distance from each other. In addition technicians are required to wipe all tools and equipment down before and after entering homes and other necessary steps to help prevent the spread of the virus and to keep all of us safe.

Our technicians have been empowered to request appointment reschedule if, when they arrive at a customer location, the homeowner is displaying any concerning symptoms.

We are currently open and work as usual to provide the best service to our valued customers. We feel obligated to keep you updated at all times, so far we have not been informed of any exposure of our staff & employees to Coronavirus.
